FAQ

Yes. Our practice is licensed to provide virtual psychiatric services throughout California, allowing you to connect from home, work, or another private location in the state.

Yes. We understand that mental health needs don’t always fit into 9-5. We offer flexible scheduling including after-hours and weekend sessions so you can get care when it’s most convenient for you.

While we provide routine care via telepsychiatry, we are not an emergency service. If you are experiencing a life‐threatening emergency (e.g., suicidal thoughts, self-harm, or other psychiatric emergency) you should call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department immediately. For urgent but non-emergency concerns, we’ll do our best to connect you with a clinician or recommend appropriate resources.

Your initial video visit is a full psychiatric evaluation. We will review your history, symptoms, any prior treatment, medications, and coordinate a personalized care plan (which could include medication management, therapy, follow‐up visits, and monitoring). After that, we’ll schedule follow-ups and adjust treatment as needed.

Your privacy is a top priority. We use secure, HIPAA-compliant video platforms and encrypted communication to protect your information. The standard of care for virtual visits is the same as in-person visits.

If medication is part of your treatment plan, your licensed psychiatric provider will electronically send a prescription to your local pharmacy (or coordinate with a mail-order pharmacy where permitted). We monitor side-effects and efficacy via follow-up visits and adjust as needed.

  1. No — the cost to you is based on your insurance benefits or our self-pay fee schedule, not the location of the visit. Whether you attend an evening, weekend or regular hour session, your out-of-pocket may vary depending on your plan, but the format (via telehealth) itself does not automatically increase cost.

We treat a wide range of mental health conditions including ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and more. If you value convenience, want to work from home, or find it difficult to visit an office in person, telepsychiatry can be a great option. We’ll assess in your first visit whether online care is appropriate or if referral to in-person or specialty care is needed.
